Target Group
Public officers at the level of permanent secretary, deputy permanent secretary, project manager and financial controller.
Aim
The course aims to introduce delegates to the fundamental concepts of public-private partnerships, essential techniques, strategies and mechanisms to improve service delivery, attract investment, reduce costs and increase accountability and to review best practices in PPP development in other countries.
Course of Objectives
At the end of the training, participants will be able to:
- explain the institutional requirements for effective PPP design and development
- explain the process for identifying viable PPP project opportunities
- discuss ‘best practices’ in PPP design and development
- apply knowledge gained in this initial workshop to create an action plan for moving forward on a PPP programme.
