Processing Study and Training Leave

Training Administration Division (TAD) is the sole government agency with the responsibility to process requests for study and training leave for public officers of Barbados. Public officers should be aware that TAD cannot on its own grant training and study leave to public officers.

A Training Committee has been established to advise the Services Commissions (Public, Judicial and Legal) in respect of officers to be granted training and study leave and determine the terms and conditions under which officers shall be granted training and study leave.

 

Providing In-Service Training

 

The Training Administration Division (TAD) also provides quality training for public officers, in order to enable the public sector to deliver effective and efficient service to the nation of Barbados. Training is provided in the following categories

* Office Support Development
* Public Service Communication
* Seminars and Workshops

 

Library Services

 

The Division’s specialised library focuses on materials relating to training and development. The training and reference media is provided in several formats, such as books, videos, CD-Roms, magazines and journals.

The library services are available to public officers only.
